Organogenesis broke ground on the construction of the world's largest automated living cell manufacturing plant in Canton, MA. A facility that the company says will allow it to leverage its leadership in the regenerative medicine field and allow it to attract resources and jobs over the next decade.
I was interested in this announcement as the facility to me represents tanglible evidence that regenerative medicine is moving toward commercialization and actually requires larger scale, automated manufacturing to make product. Sometimes fields move faster than I give them credit.
