Xconomy reports this morning that Alnylam Pharmaceuticals has signed a deal with Precision Nanosystems to use the latter's small lipid nanoparticle drug delivery system to help Alnylam get its RNAi drugs to their cell targets -- specifically in the liver.

Thus Alnylam has found an alternative partner to work with on nanoparticle delivery -- given that its last partner, Tekmira, is now suing them for $1 billion. Tekmira claims that Alnylam "misappropriated" their technology which the latter emphatically denies.
