This article represents a great group lament by Big Pharma CEOs at a recent pharma gathering in London. One chief executive after another mounted the stage and bemoaned the industry's falling R&D productivity and the rising cost of innovation. Throw in a little market worry over government pricing policies.
PharmaGossip: Desperate remedies for pharmaceutical industry - The Irish Times.
Then add a little more hand-wringing over loss of industry reputation - supposedly 11% in a recent Harris poll said they believed Big Pharma was trustworthy. What's not to trust? Pretty soon, you have full blown industry armageddon.
My biggest issue with this article is that it outlines a plethora of issues and provides no intended solutions.
