”Henri does not want to sell the company. Henri never would want to sell the company. He’ll fight it tooth and nail to the extent that he can,” said a former Genzyme executive who asked not to be named. “.... The trouble is that his view of the shareholders’ best interest is probably not the same as what some of the shareholders think are their best interest.”
“Henri wants to stay long enough to fix all the problems at Genzyme so he can go out on a really high note,” the former Genzyme executive said.
“Everybody who’s dealt with Genzyme or knows much about Genzyme knows that the ultimate decision always came to Henri’s desk,” the biologist said. “He is central to the decision making at Genzyme..."
Termeer said, “I like perfection and courage and innovation.”
This is one Cowboy that Chris Viehbacher better be prepared to be on the fightin' side of. Instead of a sunset, we're more likley to see gunplay at High Noon.
