The Pharmalot blog reports this morning that Roche may be planning a large new round of job cuts. Large being a relative term but in this case meaning in the thousands.

Cuts will not only come after sales and marketing jobs but will also touch research and development and administration according to management sources. Cuts will be spread across the world (why limit the fun?) and involve different company facilities and countries. Formal announcement of the plan is expected to happen later this week according to Sonntag.
Roche says any announcement will not happen that soon.
