This wry commentary from Derek Low's In the Pipeline blog this morning. It too analyzes real possibility that Sanofi will walk away from Genzyme deal if Genzyme board cannot accept the offer on table - said to be $70/share.
Walking away may be much better alternative to overpaying just to "make a deal happen".
