As reported in Fierce Biotech yesterday, Irish interests are considering building a $6 B pharmaceutical "center of excellence" in Tralee that could provide 4800 new jobs in R&D and manufacturing plus a slew of other jobs in management and academic positions.
The current plan calls for 30 campuses and creation of one of the world's largest R&D sites. Work at the site could begin as early as 2012. A final announcement as to whether this plan will be activated or not is expected within 3 months.
