As promoted on the Patent Doc blog, an online webinar will be offered on April 22nd at 2 pm EST entitled "Biosimilars: The New Litigation Landscape". The program is sponosored by the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) and will feature speakers Stuart Watt, Amgen and F. Dominic Cerrito, Jones Day. Fee for registration is $100 and the course earns CLE.
The seminar will focus on the new legislation in the Healthcare Reform Bill that provides a pathway for registration of biosimilars. This legislation will be compared and contrasted with the Hatch-Waxman Act that paved the way for generics. The differences between the two are stated to be "profound".
