Quintile published new white paper entitled, "Realizing Promise of Asia-Pacific: The Region's Strategic Shift from Outsourcing to Innovation", and authored by Dr. Ferzaan Engineer, CEO, Quintiles India, and Dr. Anand Tharmaratnam, Senior VP and Head of Clinical Development, Quintiles Asia-Pacific.
The paper highlights shifts in region moving it from pure outsourcing destination to true area of innovation in future. The region is benefiting from trends shifting R&D and clinical trials from Western markets to East to take advantage of lower cost structures. According to these authors, the region is beginning to grow its own biotechnology industry.
